Veterinarians: Chiropractic Should Be Part Of Pet Care The February 15, 2000 issue of the Journal of the American Veterinarian Medicine Association reports that veterinarian school faculty and administrators responding to a survey felt that their curriculum should include more training in holistic (wellness) methods including chiropractic. The surveys were mailed to veterinarian school deans and faculty. Of those that responded, 61% believed that chiropractic care for animals should be included into their programs. 87% believed that acupuncture, nutritional supplements and physical therapy should be included. 44% felt homeopathy should also be included. If nervous system interference occurs, in any living animal, malfunction of body systems can occur. Chiropractic care to remove the interference that occurs from vertebral subluxation is a necessary part of keeping everyone, and everything, with a spine healthy. |
