Adult classes are oriented toward adults.  We allow students
age 14 and up into the adult classes.

Learn more about our Youth Aikido here.

Aikido and Iaido adult training is open to new students 14 or older with a desire for self improvement and learning.  Training for young people 8 to 13 is taught in separate classes with a focus on age appropriate content and material.

Adult rates (14 and up) are $100 per month with a $125 one time startup fee.  Rates are $45 a month with a one time $65 startup fee for students 8 to 13.

Before starting you should come and watch an entire class.  At that time you can speak with the instructor to ask any questions you may have.  Please arrive on time and stay for the entire class.  There is seating for guests at the dojo.  You will not see everything that Aikido has to offer in a single class, but you will get a feeling for the way Aikido training is done.  Don't expect all your questions about every technical aspect of Aikido to be answered in one class.  Aikido is born from literally centuries of Samurai combat tradition.  You cannot possible grasp it all at one time.

Minors will need parents to accompany them at the time they enroll.  Parents should be prepared to have their children on time for class and pick them up promptly when class is dismissed.

We make a big commitment to you when you begin Aikido.  There is much to learn and our instructors and assistants are committed to seeing your make excellent progress.  We are happy to have you come and try a class for free.  However, when you decide to commit to training we require that you make at least a six-month commitment.

Like most health & fitness clubs, monthly dues are automatically charged to either a checking account or credit card (Master Card or Visa only).

Gi
Training uniform

We carry a number of different sizes of uniforms in stock for kids for $15 which includes the top, bottom and the belt.  Adults can order uniforms online.  There are many online stores to purchase a training uniform (gi).  Check out www.e-bogu.com for affordable good quality gi's.  The 12 oz. white karate gi works very well for our style of training.

White gi's only for training please.  No black uniforms or uniforms with patches.

The hakama, traditional pleated pants can be warn by anyone of any rank.  However, we do not have the children wear hakama.  Adults should only get a hakama when they have trained for a few months and know they are committed to continue training.
